Costa
Brava/Catalonia -
Located in north-east of
Spain, the autonomous Spanish community of Catalonia has everything you could wish
for in a holiday.
From the vibrancy and culture of Barcelona to the
beautiful coasts of the Costa Brava up to the Pyrenees, Cataluña's
landscape is as diverse and stunning as any you'll find anywhere in
Europe.
The craggy coastline is sprinkled with beautiful small beaches
and village inlets including Pallafrugel, Roses, Lloret de Mar, L’Estartit,
Tossa de Mar and Blanes.
Boat hire is popular to seek out deserted
coves scented with pine and citrus trees, fragrant herbs and bright
flowers.
International resorts and marinas lie in close proximity to
relatively unspoilt fishing villages and towns.
A must for all visitors
to this area is a trip to Barcelona, Spain's second largest city and
steeped in history, tradition and cultural influences.
Costa Blanca -
The stunningly beautiful Costa Blanca
is located around the centre of Spain's Mediterranean seaboard, has
270kms of coastline and is served by both Valencia and Alicante airports.
The distinctive soft, white, sandy beaches,
for which this area of Spain is renown, nestle between rocky
headlands.
When you want a break from the sun soaked beaches, drive up
to the rocky peak at Guadalest, an ancient mountain fortress town with
panoramic views or continue inland on small country lanes and discover
sleepy villages, where the pace of life has not changed for centuries.
The up-market resorts of Denia, Javea, Moraira and Calpe are all
excellent choices for a villa holiday.
Cuisine to enjoy ranges from
international restaurants covering all tastes. This area of Spain is famed
for the superb sea front
establishments serving the freshest of fish and you must try one of the
local tapas bars for a "chilled out lunch" or paella for a Sunday
lunchtime extravaganza!
The Terra Mitica theme park is ideal for a family
day out at Benidorm.

Costa del
Sol/Andalucía -
The Costa del Sol occupies the southern end of
Spain's Mediterranean coast.
The shoreline
consists of 900km of dramatic coastline sprawling from Almeria in the East
to beyond Gibraltar to the west and offers some of the finest resorts in
Spain. Within 40 minutes of the sandy beach, you can be skiing at the
famous resorts of Sierra Nevada.
Andalucía is one of the warmest regions
in Europe and has a temperate, Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers
and mild winters. Along the Costa del Sol, some of the Spain's best examples are easily
accessible such as the white villages of Casares, Manilva, and Mijas or
the cliff-hanging wonder of Ronda and nearby Nerja and Frigiliana.
All a
far cry from the glamorous Spanish resorts of Marbella and Puerto Banus,
playground for the rich and famous.
Wherever you find yourself in Andalucía, you will be certain of one thing and that is a warm, friendly
welcome
The Balearics - Mallorca, Menorca & Ibiza
The Balearic islands
are nestled in the Mediterranean sea just off the east coast of
mainland Spain, the islands of Menorca, Mallorca and Ibiza are a
favourite holiday haunt for tourists and royalty alike. Each has
it’s own distinctive character with Mallorca being the largest
island with Ibiza, renowned for being the party capital of Europe,
being the smaller of the three.
To the east of
Mallorca is the most tranquil and unspoilt of the three islands –
Menorca, which offers endless miles of unspoilt and crowd free
beaches and tiny coves ideal for family holidays
Canary Islands - Lanzarote, Fuerteventura, Tenerife
Situated in the
Atlantic Ocean closer to Africa than Spain the Canary Islands are
made up of 7 islands, the main ones being Lanzarote, Fuerteventura,
Tenerife and Gran Canaria. With year round sunshine and very little
rainfall the islands offer excellent holiday retreats for Winter and
Summer. The liveliest resorts can be found on Tenerife and Gran
Canaria. However family outings to the Timanfaya Mountain (or
even riding the csamels) on Lanzarote and endless golden sandy dunes
on Fuerteventura attract all age groups but especially parents with
young children.
